Very noisy access hole

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 20:54, Wed 3 November 2010

Sent to Redbridge Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 141186.

I live on the junction on cambridge road and landsdown road IG3. there is a very loose man hole or acces point in the pave which is a massive problem in terms of the noise it creates when people walk on it, which is evry few seconds. I occupy the ground floor flat of a house conversion at the junction of those these two streets and as my bedroom is directly facing the pave where the problem is, i find it almost impossible to sleep most nights.

the problem has become worse with more foot traffic over the past few months. it is not necessary to stamp or run on the access point for it to make a very loud noise. it it ever so noisy regardless, as the removable concrete slabs create a sae-saw effect, hence causing maximum noise.

this is a very annoying and frustrating problem which keeps disturbing my sleep every night and early mornings.

i would like to request that something please be done about this problem soon.
