I reported this light not working about three years ago and was told a part was awaited. It has not worked since. In the interest of road safety it is important this junction is lit as the authority intended when it installed that light. Please fix it asap.
Many thanks for sending this through and sorry for the inconvenience this lighting unit is causing. I'm trying to get to the bottom of what has happened as I know the supply to this was cut off by SSE. I am going to send them an email to get this reconnected as I'm unsure why this has happened in the first place. They own the service cable to we have to rely on SSE to rectify. I will send the emails out today and get this reconnected. Sorry that this has taken as long as it has to action.

This has still not been done. It is 3 years this week since it last worked. Looking at crash map it would be a huge benefit on this dangerous junction if it were properly lit.

We have been in touch with our major infrastructure team who carried out the original works. This fault was raised with the team originally whom have not had it repaired and unfortunately have signed the project off without rectifying the situation. We are now trying to get this work undertaken by another party so I can only apologise for the delay and the length of time it is taking to repair this unit,

This light, in front of the Cape of Good Hope pub, is still not working. It is now around 4 years since it last was operational. Please either get it working again or remove the whole structure. BUT it is needed, there is not sufficient light on the Cowley Road/Iffley Road/Plain roundabout junction at that point. Thanks.

Thank you for your report, we are aware there is still an issue with this light and it will be replaced. This may not occur until our new contractors are established into post and able to try and sort the supply/cable issue but it is in hand.
