Magdalen Bridge subsidence and potholes
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 18:17, Mon 3 September 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxford City Council 3 minutes later
There are so many areas of subsidence and potholes on the main carriageway, in both directions, that the bridge is a danger for all as cyclists and drivers alike swerve to avoid them and run the risk of getting in each other's path. This has been acknowledged by the county over the past two years by making patch-fills for May Morning pedestrians, but nothing has been done to remedy the numerous areas of the bridge. There will be a serious accident if it is not addressed soon.
Thank you for your enquiry. This has been added to our asset list for planned works when funding becomes available. Until these works are carried out we will monitor this and pick up any safety defects as required.

Still nothing done 4 months later!!- this piece of road across the bridge is a liability to cyclists and drivers who both swerve to avoid the huge dips, cracks and uneven surfaces. We would all appreciate some urgent action before there is a bad accident.
