Cras parking on the left side of blind bend near junction causing dangerous overtaking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 10:53, Sat 1 September 2018

Sent to Dudley Borough Council 1 minute later

As a local lorry driver, I regularly visit commercial properties on Shelah Rd. During the day, there are several cars that park daily on the left side of the bend near the bus stops. Visability on this bend is very poor due to the wooded area on the right, and cars approach the junction from the other direction at speed. The parked cars make it dangerous to negotiate the bend. I believe that double yellow lines are necessary to prevent accidents, especially during school and college times. Further along, there are several vehicle repair companies that park vehicles along both sides of Shelah rd. They cover about 100-200m of the road making safe negotiation difficult, as there is no 'refuge' to pull in to allow vehicles to pass

  • I put a pin on the wrong end of Shelah Rd. The junction in question is at the Furnace Hill end
