A Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings problem has been found
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category by Oxfordshire County Council at 09:28, Thu 30 August 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxford City Council 1 minute later
The smooth black stone paving at the junction of Turl Street and High Street and does not provide sufficient grip in wet weather. This along with the smooth camber from the raised section of road making it difficult to see where the flat surface begins and ends creates a significant trip hazard. This caused me to lose my footing without any chance to catch myself. I might consider putting this down personal error had I seen someone else fall in the same spot two hours earlier. At the least some markings need to be placed so the change in angle can be noticed at a casual glance.
Thank you for your report, we are now investigating this issue and an update will be posted as soon as possible.
