Uneven pavement cause wheelchair user to fall

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Kenneth Laing at 10:55, Saturday 11 August 2018

Sent to Aberdeen City Council 4 minutes later

The uneven paving labs in this area caused a friend who is wheelchair-bound to fall out of his chair. Thankfully, there were no injuries. One of the small front wheel got caught in a hole between paving slabs causing the wheelchair to stop suddenly and the occupant go head over heels onto the pavement.

This appears to be a common problem on this part of Union Street, and round the corner in Rose Street and on Chapel Street. I think the uneven surface is cause by delivery vehicles parking on the pavement. This illegal practise which puts pedestrians in danger and damage to the pavement should be prevented by regular presence of wardens or perhaps the installation of bollards. The damaged pavements should be repaired
