Sent to Richmondshire District Council 4 minutes later
Pupils and staff from Richmond school, which operates a non smoking policy, are using the corner of Fontenay road and Lennox avenue as their smoking area. The school has very many smokers and the vast quantities of cigarette litter left each day is not only disgusting and having a negative effect on our neighbourhood but a very real danger to the small children who queue for ice cream at this point each school day. I have witnessed primary school children collecting the butts and putting them in their pockets.
Lennox Avenue is still being used by Richmond School pupils as a smoking area during their lunch hour. On occasion a teacher from the school will arrive to move the pupils on to another street!
