Sent to East Sussex County Council and Hastings Borough Council 2 minutes later
At around 11am this morning I was walking on the sand with my 2 year old grand daughter close by my side. A large bouncy dog raced 20 yards full tilt and leapt and hit my grand daughter full in the chest with her front paws sending her flying through the air backwards to land on her back. I shouted at the dog and the owner who was down from London to get the dog on a lead and keep control of it Another young man aged 17 with a Rottveiler from Bexhill got involved insisting this stretch of beach was for dog walking and that I shouldn’t bring my grand daughter on the beach. I took a photo of him which he insisted I delete as he was under age We have a beach hut on this beach-Sadly it has become one of the principal dog walking and dog toileting areas in the locality, particularly since other areas have become restricted for dog owners. As this is an area of general public recreation can proper signs inform people that dogs must be kept under control on or off the lead. Thank you.
