Street light is extremely bright and shining into bedroom. I cannot sleep until it goes off.

This street light is so bright, it lights up my bedroom (I have dark curtains) to the point where I can't sleep. I'm suffering from migraines through sleep deprivation. I've had to take time off work due to this. It's starting to effect my lovely hood massively. I have been to the doctor's about and they've asked me to report to the council, and possibly the HSE, all they could do for me is to tell me to get some rest - which is ironic! I've reported to SSE (they are the contractors for the street lighting) but they said that I'll have to pay to have it sorted, why should I have to pay? The light was upgraded in the last couple of years to an LED and is alot brighter than the previous Orange type light. The street light is right outside 76 The Gardens, Southwick, West Sussex, BN42 4AN.
