Massive patch of Ragwort
Reported via iOS in the Weed problem on the highway category anonymously at 10:11, Fri 20 July 2018
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1368298.
Ragwort is being allowed to thrive on the grass verge, if allowed to seed and spread it is against the weeds act 1959 and the spread of injurious plant seed, therefore Oxfordshire County Council are also not following their own policies and procedures either.

Thank you for your very quick response, however, if this section is 'maintained' by Oxfordshire County Council under agreement, have you passed this report on to them to actually deal with, as the A418 bypass is a disgrace for the amount of Ragwort growing along side it and in places already gone to seed and spreading? It is currently not resolved or fixed, and Oxfordshire County Council's standard answer gives a non specific time frame between July & September for some verge cutting to take place. Most of this Ragwort will most probably fall outside this one swathe cut, and cutting it at this stage is too late anyway. Also, if Transport for Buckinghamshire continues to treat noxious and injurious weeds in line with your legal obligations, despite having ceased your weed spraying programme, are you able to tell me what methods are used please?

FixMyStreet is being updated in Buckinghamshire to improve how problems get reported.
As part of this process we are closing all reports made before the update.
All of your reports will have been received and reviewed by Buckinghamshire but, if you believe that this issue has not been resolved, please open a new report on it.
Thank you.
