Serious sequencing fault on lights

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 15:13, Wed 4 July 2018

Sent to TfL 1 minute later

There is a serious sequencing error on the cross road lights. Three major crashes in the last four weeks and two near misses of Children crossing on green and cars passing the lights. The green for crossing on one of the signals is only there for a few seconds. For cars lights going green and then rapped change to red.

  • The council came out and checked these lights and said they were fine but three car crashes at the lights would disagree and a near miss of children crossing. Needs looking at again

  • I’ve seen this issue. Where cars are turning right coming up from Betts park direction.

The lights turn red but quickly the green man for the crossing comes on. This means cars waiting to turn right in the middle of the junction for the traffic to pass then there’s pedestrians already crossing.

The cars are either stranded or more often just drive through.
