Caterpillar nest toxic
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I have spoken with our Countryside and Commons Officer who has informed me that he has sent an email to the forestry commission asking them if they are able to remove the nests later this year. Spraying has stopped until the nests have all fully formed so they can be removed. Spraying them now will do nothing as the caterpillars are too strong for the pesticide at this stage.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.
