Potholes/poor surface along length of Bath Old Road

Reported in the Damage to road category anonymously at 08:04, Thu 28 June 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 minute later

The majority of Bath Old Road, but particularly the section between the A367 and the farm on the right (as travelling to Radstock) contains numerous large, dangerous potholes. I both cycle and drive this road and am surprised that nothing has been done about it.

Looking at the other reports on the reporting website others have mentioned it and BANES deem it not worthy of repair. I will be taking a tape measure out in due course to measure them but your website states them to be potholes when they are >40mm deep which some will be. It would be a more cost effective solution to close and resurface the road due to the number of potholes present. The multitude of them causes road users to swerve to avoid them posing an increased risk to oncoming traffic.

I would be grateful of further investigation and reclassification of the issue.
