Fixed
Uncountable potholes/terrifying surface/blocked drain
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Paul Weedon at 22:01, Sun 24 June 2018
Sent to Cornwall Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1347695.
This section of road between Pelean Cross and Pulla Cross has had issues with potholes reported since 2009 , supposedly fixed but forever recurring!!!
May I suggest that as much as these potholes have been fixed and seemingly reocurr afterwards, there is a blocked drain silted to the top at this location. Because there is a spring nearby, this water has nowhere else to go but diagonally across the road which in time, the road surface weakens creating potholes and a broken road surface rendering it terrifying for driving on!!
It's no good spending money on repairing the road if the gully has not been put into good working order and maintained that way.
If the gully is only inspected/emptied every 12 or 24 months then perhaps it might be seen fit to arrange to have it maintained more frequently to keep it from blocking up ... Only then will this issue be finally resolved.

As far as the road surface is concerned nothing has been done to it. However I feel that the gully pot may have been cleared, For all that there is still water running diagonally from the gully area to the opposite side of the road. Water is still harbouring in the potholes even in the extended dry weather period of this Summer. .

I report this as 'Not Fixed' but is in process of being fixed. (It's no fixed until its fixed!) The whole of road, where this section lies, had been closed for Resurfacing and Drainage Work from 20th August for 19 days!! . I'll report again when assured drainage etc is working properly.
