Bush overgrown, covering more than half the pavement

Reported by daniela hassan at 20:01, Friday 22 June 2018

Sent to Kingston upon Thames Borough Council 3 minutes later

A bush has overgrown and now covers at least half the pavement. It makes it difficult to get past on the way to the school, especially with pushchairs. Between the Dawson Road bus stop and King Athelstan Primary are several buildings that have severely overgrown shrubs which are now frowning across the pavement.

  • This has become so bad now that there are areas where you have to push twigs out of the way, otherwise you get hit in the face. This is opposite a primary school and extremely unsafe for the children because they resort to crossing the road where it is not safe or walking along the parking area on the side of the road.

  • I reported back in June that this private vegetation is growing over the pavement just a 1 minute walk from King Athelstan Primary School. Nothing has been done and since then it has grown so much that 2/3 of the pavement are inaccessible. This is near a primary school and it's getting to a point where it is a problem for children, and especially for parents with pushchairs. It's been 3 months and the council didn't care enough about the children to sort this out with the home owner!

  • Reported it again to the council two weeks ago. WAS told within 10 working days it would be sorted. Still nothing.
