Traffic wardens targetting one area to placate complaining locals despite the rest of the town being ignored.

Sent to Wycombe District Council 2 minutes later

Traffic wardens are targetting innocent and (previously) law abiding citizens from collecting their children - many of the parents collecting children are disrespectful to the needs of residents and cause blockages but many don't. Also parents living in this area are returning with their own children they have picked up from a school thus creating a problem at other schools. I want to know what counciller lives in this area for this to be such a huge issue as it seems perfectly acceptable to leave Marlow Road without restrictions even though that is a main thoroughfare and parked cars cause an obstruction all the time. There needs to be a rethink and sort out an actual pickup area near the schools - not a waiting area but a dedicated pickup area and proper turning circles so people can loop around (the council seems to like CO2 emissions).

  • This is obviously a very old post, but an update is useful for those that do see it.

There is a solution to this. The Park & Ride car park has a number of "kiss & drop" spaces within it for parents to drop their children off. Also outside the leisure centre are a number of drop off points. There is no need to utilise the roads around the Fair Ridge estate, which is now a permit only parking zone with extensive double yellow lines and is patrolled regularly by parking wardens.
