Dangerous amount of sand and gravel on many roads in the OX11 area.

There is a dangerous amount of sand and gravel on many roads in the OX11 area, not just at this intersection, but also at several others and round-a-bouts on the A4130 and elsewhere.

We have several Blood Bikers living in Didcot and I have dropped my motorcycle once already because of all the sand on the roads. The problem has been exacerbated over time by all the building works taking place now and in the past which has never been cleaned up. Your website says "outer town areas are cleaned once a week and mechanically swept once a month"; this has not happened in years; not once to my knowledge since Great Western Park development first started. Please clean up all the sand and loose gravel on the A4130 exiting Didcot / Station Road / Milton Road.

Kind regards Concerned Motorcyclist and Blood Biker

Updates

  • This is still a serious issue, as a Biker I find it incredible dangerous to ride down the A4130 because of the build up of gravel and fodder
