Tesco: Possible breach of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990

Reported anonymously at 12:29, Wed 13 June 2018

Sent to Windsor and Maidenhead Council 1 minute later

Staff at the Tesco store on the A4 are not closing the gate between their front and rear car parks. The road signage (as required by Condition 21 Signage and Road Markings 12/00951/CONDIT ) is faded and cannot be seen. http://publicaccess.rbwm.gov.uk/ online-applications/ files/ 4AD3576D136D760D3DB996E1327EC597/ pdf/ 12_00951_CONDIT-Highways-960428.pdf

As a result the public are using this as cut through between the A4 and St Marks road. This causes a real danger to life as pedestrians walking from the rear car park to the store cannot be seen by the cars driving north through the open gate from the A4.

The council need to enforce condition 21 of Planning Application 12/00951/CONDIT . Tescos need to repaint the road markings and the store staff need to ensure that the gate remains closed when not in use for deliveries.
