Incorrect markings on cycle path

Reported via iPhone by Yoav Tzabar at 17:57, Thu 16 September 2010

Sent to Carlisle City Council and Cumbria County Council 3 minutes later

The cycle path in the photo shows that stop signs have been painted where is crosses a road. This is incorrect, the priority should be for the cyclist and the emerging traffic should stop and give way. These incorrect markings are repeated another six times along this stretch of cycle path shown in the photograph

Updates

  • I don't expect it will ever enter the council's little brain that if a road CROSSES a cycle path (rather than the other way round) that it is the CYCLE PATH that has the priority, not the road.
