Is it really necessary to use leaf blowers to clear dust and leaves from the road onto the pavement? I have just had to walk in the road to try, not very successfully, to avoid being covered in dust. Leaf blowers are very noisy and largely ineffective at this task. Is there no alternative and how does transferring the dust and leaves to the pavement help?
