Road markings worn away at crossroads of Percy St & Catherine St

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 12:43, Wednesday 6 June 2018 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 861049.

Drivers coming along Catherine Street & crossing the junction with Percy Street do not realise they have to stop as the Give Way/Stop dotted white lines have worn away. I have witnessed many "near misses" as traffic drives up Percy Street and traffic drives over the crossroads at Catherine Street, not realising they have to give way to traffic driving along Percy Street. The give way lines should be repainted at both junctions of Catherine Street. This has been a problem for some months now

Updates

  • Thank you for your enquiry. A request has been issued to maintain the Give Way and double yellow lines around this junction. The painted Give Way Triangles are not to be refreshed as these are generally associated with roads of higher speeds and were introduced before the current speed limit.

State changed to: No further action
