Virgin media making a mess of footpaths

Sent to Leeds City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1321637.

I am disgusted with the state of my footpath after virgin media have dug a channel and tarmac with different colour tarmac, what an eyesore to our once lovely street, why haven’t the whole path been tarmaced again instead of the unsightly small snake like channel, I am so mad that we were consulted before this work was carried out. Please explain

  • We received a letter in the post last week saying that the footpaths will be treated with some sort of new topping and this working would be carried out within the next 48hrs but this never happened. I understand that utility services can have access to our footpaths as and when they need, but this is a fairly new estate in a nice respectable area, and to be honest now when you drive or walk in to the estate the footpaths look disgraceful. The tarmac is a different color and looks like a black line running down the center of the footpath line a snake, It wouldn't have been a problem if it could have been disguised better.
