Continual fly-tipping

Reported in the Flytipping category by Kay Schofield at 11:05, Tuesday 22 May 2018

Sent to Trafford Borough Council 5 minutes later

The end of Raglan Road Stretford is blocked to through traffic and has a turning circle at the end. It is quite secluded has become a regular place to tip rubbish. Over the years my husband and myself have made many trips to the tip but now it is getting more frequent and we are not doing it anymore! In the past we have had to clear away huge piles of dumped garden waste, numerous black bags of unidentified rubbish, as well as drug needles, dumped bikes, furniture and various other items. In the last three weeks we have had two wheelie bins full of heavy rubbish, a garden bench,(which is being repaired and recycled by a neighbour), six bags of unidentified rubbish, which we removed ourselves, and just last night a BBQ. Also, dumped over railings around the electricity substation, is what looks like parts of a fitted kitchen... this we can not access, but it still needs to be removed. One Trafford are very slow at removing rubbish and so, if it is left, more just gets added to it. I am sick and tired of people thinking that it is ok to dump their rubbish on other people, and I refuse to live in a rubbish dump! PLEASE HELP!!!

Updates

  • It takes ages for the council, or ,more specifically One Trafford, to come and shift the rubbish. No effort, probably due to lack of funds, is made to stop this happening. Maybe if the cost wasn't so high to have rubbish removed, especially for people without transport or for self-employed people, to take rubbish to the tip, it wouldn't cost the council even more money to shift the fly-tipped rubbish!
