Dangerous junction due to long grass.

Reported by Kate Taylor at 20:39, Monday 21 May 2018

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council and West Sussex County Council 1 minute later

Please trim the edges of the grass verge at the junction. Much as I love wildflowers, I cannot see the very fast traffic coming along New Road at 60mph when I am trying to pull out into it from Lodge Lane. I guess it's okay in a van or a 4x4 but for most cars the grass blocks the driver's visibility. It's already a dangerous junction - the farmer opposite the turning often has to replace his fence. Please cut the edge of the verge - just a couple of feet would help - to prevent another car crash.

  • Several people were complaining on our local Facebook community page about the long grass obscuring the view at this dangerous junction. I reported it on FixMyStreet and it was forwarded to the right council and acted upon. Thank you, you may have prevented a crash or two.
