New cycle lanesare dangerous

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:40, Monday 14 May 2018

Sent to Cardiff Council 4 minutes later

The newly laid out cycle lanes are delineated by thin bollards and also by what appear to be low kerbs. These are highly dangerous, particularly to 2-wheel user (cyclists and motorcyclists) and had, I thought been banned for use on the UKs highways. They should be removed immediately and either replaced by paint markings alone, or preferably done away with altogether since there's no noticeable need for cycle lanes here... or indeed in most other parts of Cardiff

  • Reply from council missed the point completely and didn't acknowledge there was any danger in the works in question. Did however reiterate that the cycle lanes project would continue .... (although clearly not wanted or needed!). So much for listening to the public.
