Large, deep pothole, almost unavoidable by cars turning right out of King Street.

Reported in the Potholes category by Mrs. L. S. Keller at 11:23, Tuesday 8 May 2018

Sent to West Sussex County Council 2 minutes later

I believe this pothole was reported nearly one year ago (see report of 27 May 2017). It is now quite deep, and wide, enough to constitute a hazard to cars passing over (e.g. burst tyre). Cars turning right out of King Street or carrying on London Road seeking to avoid it and taking evasive action now are beginning to constitute a hazard to other vehicles. "Bounce" created by vehicles running into the hole has damaged the surrounds of nearby ironwork and an area on the road near the south-west kerb outside the chemist's shop, which in turn creates a hazard for pedestrians crossing the road.
