Still no road markings to separate carriageway

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 07:07, Tuesday 24 April 2018

Sent to Midlothian Council 3 minutes later

As was reported almost a year ago, the white lines are missing from the carriageway of the southbound A7 coming off Sheriffhall roundabout. There are no road markings separating the two carriageways, meaning that northbound traffic often encroaches onto the southbound carriageway. This is highly dangerous and needs rectifying.

A response from the Council stated that my concerns would be passed to the team responsible for the road markings. However the white lines were not reinstated.

Nearly a year later and I note that new white lines have been added to the carriageway of the A6106 on its approach to Sheriffhall roundabout. Can the same attention now be paid to the A7 where oncoming traffic encroaching onto the opposite carriageway is a definite problem?
