Numerous potholes make this road dangerous and barely passable

Reported in the Potholes category by Nigel McLean at 10:31, Sunday 15 April 2018

Sent to Aberdeen City Council 4 minutes later

Along the single track road starting from the right hand turnoff to Redcraigs lodges heading down the hill towards a sharp left hand turn is riddled with deep pot holes. The potholes are deep and lie along the travel path of cars wheels. They are becoming all most impossible to avoid now. They have been present and growing for 9 months now. Increased traffic on this road has also damaged the corner at the bottom of the hill, it is only a matter of time until this subsidence will cause this part of the road to become inpassable. My car is starting to feel the strain and i am worried that it will be damaged soon. The longer this is left to repair, the more expensive it will become to fix and the more damage to cars will ensue.

Updates

  • The road has reportedly been fixed. The word fixed is to be used very loosely; the pot holes have been filled in, however the road remains in a terrible condition. Great care and at speeds of no more than 5 mph, is required to navigate around the very uneven and bumpy surface which is riddled now with shallower pot holes. This temporary fix will return to its dangerous state within months. When will it be properly fixed / repaired?

    State changed to: Fixed
