  • The first boroughwide spray commences on 16th April. This spray cycle can take approx. 4-5 weeks to complete depending on weather conditions. SM

  • Annually, there are four applications of weed spray, typically applied from spring through to early autumn on paved highways (subject to appropriate weather conditions). Once sprayed 'dieback' should occur within seven to ten days under normal conditions before the residue is removed through routine scheduled street cleaning activities.

  • Hi, it’s been 5 weeks as advised and weeds are growing to a point where they need to be cut down and treated.

    Many thanks

  • Thank you for your report, the weed spray is not strong enough to treat the vegetation in the photos shown above. This will have to be logged as over hanging vegetation if it starts to obstruct the footway, where the public are finding hard to pass.

  • Hi,

Can you clarify your reply, are you saying because the council have left the weeds for so long they are now in a different catorgory and will not be cut down until they obstruct the pathway?
