Play Area on The Leys is a Quagmire

The play area on the Leys is reduced to a quagmire when it rains. This renders most of the equipment unusable as it is covered in mud. We visited the play area on 1st April to find the swings, slides and climbing apparatus in this state. It seems strange that most of the ground in the play area is grass/soil rather than being covered in (inexpensive) bark chippings. The situation is not helped by the mess created by contractors working on the crazy golf area. They have even chewed up the parts of the playing field by not sticking to the temporary roadway.
