As you can see, this problem dates back as far as 2010 and probably longer still. Thanet District Council need to get the barrier/gate locked as it is left continuously open. It should only be opened by TDC. It's disgusting TDC has allowed this complete disregard to go on despite numerous reports by different people concerned about vehicles being driven on the promenade here.

  • Another bank holiday weekend with the promenade full of cars like a free car park. Get this sorted, it has been reported a number of times by various responders.

  • Well this problem is also being ignored by TDC as it has been reported several times by different people directly without even getting any acknowledgements. What sort of Council do we have here in Thanet ?

  • Why don't TDC send Parking Wardens down there and sort this problem out. Just lock the barrier closed and change the lock would be a start !
