Rainwater collects on road surface

Oakdene Road at its junction with Forest Way. Rainwater collects on road surface in middle of junction. This was not a problem before the road was recently re-surfaced!

Contractor was instructed to undertake the remedial works to alleviate the flooding problem. Works will be completed in 6 weeks due to other works.

'Remedial works may have been done, but today 1st December there is enough rainwater pooled at the junction, for cars to cause spray when passing through it.

Our contractor made good to alleviate the flooding problem but the they did not go far enough to take account of the ponding. The site is remarked to this issue rectified and our contractor was instructed to go back and carry out the necessary work to stop the flooding issue.

Although our contractor has undertaken remedial works at this location, small areas of ponding are still evident during heavy rainfall. Our contractor has been instructed to complete additional works, which we expect to be completed within the next four weeks.
