Coninuous explosions from bird scarer starting at 05:52 this morning with multiple shot of various loudness. (14 up to 07:30)

Reported anonymously at 07:56, Wed 21 March 2018

Sent to Bedford Borough Council 4 minutes later

Loud multiple bird scarers going off all day every day (from 05:52 today (21/3/18) sunrise time 06:03). Reported at Parish Council but ignored - farmer is on Parish Council. Farmer seems to ignore NFU guidelines and doesn't have any consideration for the impact of this incessant noise on the community.

  • Bedford Council Environmental dept requested a 14 day monitor which has been done and submitted back to the council. Evidence submitted that the farmer has ignored NFU guidelines on so many points.

    Awaiting Bedford Council response.

  • Still awaiting feedback from the council? 3 months now. Thankfully the explosions have stopped now (mature crop?) but I dread an autumn or winter planting again next year.

  • Council officer went to farm but no one was there and a dog was loose so no action. Noise stopped for a while but has now started up some mornings (from 04:40 on 7th July).
