Irresponsible and dangerous parking

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1251680.

This is one of many cars and vans that are repeatedly parking on the corner of Saffron Meadow and South Street thereby causing a hazard to mororists driving into and exiting Saffron Meadow. There have been several near misses and it is only a matter of time before there is a serious accident.

  • The vehicle does not appear to be parked incorrectly - the Highway Code states you should not park within 10 metres of the junction not must not. The Police (tel no 101) have powers to deal with obstruction - the local Council does not. If you believe restrictions are needed then you should approach your local Councillors to discuss this.
