Fly tipping on the Ley's
Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 06:47, Mon 19 March 2018
Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1249691.
This is the bin beside the toilets on the Ley's. The clean up crew that work the Ley's in the morning have spotted persons from the Townhouses behind the toilet area as shown in the 3rd picture taking their household rubbish and leaving it beside the bin or filling the bin so that it cannot be used by others. The pictures show rubbish accumulated over a week as the crew refuse to take other peoples household rubbish. I have noticed this over the last six months while walking this route to work in the morning.

I have to say that I have not seen bin bags being put out near the bin on the Ley's though there is still one household that appears to be using the bin for their domestic rubbish and this means the bin cannot be used by the walkers. But other than these, I am assuming that a mail shot had gone around to the tenants asking them not to fly tip their rubbish and that is a good thing.

It would appear that people from the close housing estate have stopped tipping their household rubbish on the Ley's, but this unfortunately does not stop the youth in Witney and especially from the Burwell area of doing the same.
