Blocked drain pipe under road

Blocked drain. This was last cleared 5 years ago but as the street sweeping is more miss than hit the drain gets blocked with leaves.

Now completely blocked again.

  • I have telephoned HCC as this is way too long and a real issue now. The response: An engineer inspected it and could see the Gully pot was half full so no need to do anything.

    I never reported the Gully pot as the problem, it is the drain pipe under the road which is blocked. And remains so. But not a visible problem on a dry day.

  • FOI Request has now been made for the maintenance of this particular drain and the pipe. But it still remains blocked in the mean time. Not a problem while it is not raining.
