Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:14, Friday 9 March 2018

Sent to West Sussex County Council 1 minute later

Cluster of large potholes and breaking up road surface over a 50 yard stretch of road causing drivers to swerve all over the place to avoid serious damage to tyres / wheels. This stretch of road needs properly and professionally resurfacing (no quick fixes) - it has been in this worsening condition for OVER A YEAR which is a total disgrace.

  • Some of the larger holes have been filled but others on the side have opened up. There are still more in the middle of the road making it almost impossible to avoid having to go on the wrong side of the road to avoid them which in turn creates a further danger to self and oncoming traffic.

  • Still a minefield, and as WSCC manage to avoid payouts to owners of vehicles damaged by unfilled potholes BEWARE! How WSCC or their contractors would wriggle out of this major, long term maintenance issue one can't imagine - but be advised that they will!
