Broken manhole cover in mainroad about to collapse

The manhole cover has been cracked and is getting steadily worse for over 2 months now - it is getting more and more noisy and is almost certain to break at any moment, doubtless causing damage to a car or worse, an accident with risk of pedestrians being struck when a car loses control. This needs fixing urgently - I know it's already been reported but the lack of urgency in fixing it seems inappropriate given that kids are walked along this road to school 5 days a week.....
