Traffic swerving around potholes on access road to 5 schools

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 12:58, Mon 5 March 2018

Sent to Nottingham City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1233111.

Surface deteriorating for several years, city homes depot volume of LGV traffic ensuring surface damage. school parent traffic volume also high. Road not adopted therefore council only liable for serious or dangerous potholes. workplace parking levy causes employees of depot and 5 local schools to park outside school or depot severely narrowing road. Traffic swerving around potholes and children and inability to park safely indicates a serious safety issue to me.

Updates

  • Not fixed. 5 schools and a council maintenance depot on unadopted road. Workplace Parking Levy causes staff and parent parking chaos and empty school car parks. 10 year pay freeze means we cannot afford WPL or the VAT added to it. Nottingham City Homes depot has large volume of LGV traffic. Road like a ploughed field. Cars swerve around potholes whilst avoiding hundreds of students. Badly lit in winter.

  • Potholes larger and deeper. Only vehicles not swerving round them are the city council homes vans that just plough over them.
