Dangerous Motorists

Reported anonymously at 21:13, Mon 5 July 2010

Sent to Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Norfolk County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 123066.

Every morning between 0630 and 0830 Motorist are driving this road at excessively dangerous speeds. They slow down for the layby where the Police are anticipated and then accelerate away, in excess of 70 mph.

Updates

  • Traffic is aware that the Police mainly position at the layby and therefore only moderate their speed at the approach to the payby, before accellerating away, frequently maintaining their high speed as they pass the Hospital and continue towards Lowestoft

  • I believe the ONLY way that motorists will comply with the 50 mph speed limit, is if average speed cameras are installed along both sides of this carriageway.
