Path pinch point?

Reported in the Footpaths/ Rights of way (usually not tarmac) category anonymously at 23:01, Tuesday 27 February 2018

Sent to Norfolk County Council 4 minutes later

The newly fenced off section of path at Drury Square seems to have a good, generous width for the most part, but the physically available path narrows down sharply to just 2' 8" between the post and the root of the mature tree, shown in the attached annotated photograph. Does the Norfolk County Council have evidence to support such a significant narrowing of the path width, at this point?
