Litter in the verges of lanes around Woodstock
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 20:51, Fri 23 February 2018
Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1226483.
The lanes around Woodstock seem to have had an increase in the amount of litter left alongside the roads. For example: Banbury Road between Hensington and the B4027 Shipton Road outside Marlborough School and along to Campsfield Road Samsomes Way on the north side of the junction with Banbury Road If the rubbish is cleared it may discourage people from tipping out the litter from their cars when they park or throwing rubbish out of the car windows. (It is unlikely that pedestrians are responsible as there are no footpaths so very few walkers on the lanes I have mentioned. Thank you.

Sustainable Woodstock organised a litter pick on 10th February and cleared Shipton Road outside the Marlborough School (retrieving over 5kg of rubbish) The residential section of Banbury Road was also cleared. There appears to have been no clearance of the the lanes around by the council despite a reply from WODC "Thank you for your email regarding the build up of litter around Woodstock. I have passed your report through to our Street Maintenance department who can investigate and clear the area."

WODC notified me that my report was passed on to Street Maintenance. However some of the littered lanes are in Cherwell District.
