Cars parking too close to junction on the corner of Bakers Drove and Hazledown Road

Reported in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 14:51, Fri 23 February 2018

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1226138.

More frequently cars are parking closer and closer to the junction, sometimes all day/night, this means that cars turning into Hazeldown Road from the bottom of Bakers Drove have limited visibility of oncoming traffic and you often have to reverse back onto Bakers Drove to let a car come out of Hazeldown, this is on the brow of a hill so you cannot see oncoming traffic coming up behind you. I have seen two near misses in the last month. If the cars were parked further away from the junction (as they should be) you would at least have the space to pull in safely.

Updates

  • I have concerns about the safety of this junction also as the cars parking right to the entrance of the road are making it very dangerous.
