Manhole makes loud noise as traffic goes over it keeping everyone awake

Sent to Lancashire County Council and Preston City Council 5 minutes later

The manhole in the middle of deepdale road has gotten loose and making a really loud noise like a train rolling over it . its keeping everyone awake past three nights.

  • The noise is unbearable. From tommorw Monday it will be even worse .

  • Phoned council who says its the highway agencies responsibility. Phoned highways who said its the lancashire county council who are in charge of it. No one seems to know what to do and this noise is getting worse and worse .

  • Lancahire county council have told me that all they do is log the complaint lol. What good does that good for anyone ? Anyway they told me to try united utilities.

  • Still calling around. Nobody knows who owns the grid. I have driven over it to test it and it can do damage to your car if driven over the offending part of the grid. I called untied utilities who came out promptly but advised its not their grid . Electricity north west say it may be theirs but it has taken two weeks now for any response.

  • So far nearly two months and just been forgotten about. Looks like this will not be fixed and no one else seems to be reporting it.

  • Six months and despite phone calls still hasn't been resolved. A vampire does more work than the Preston council
