Travelling down the very narrow road unable to avoid pothole approximately 40/50cm and quite deep, popping my tyre in which needed to be fully replaced the same day.

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:33, Sat 17 February 2018

Sent to Hampshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1219276.

Was on my way to a break away in longleat when traffic built up, I decided to take a short cut. On entering Lee Lane I noticed the road as being very narrow with no obvious speed limit or signs to suggest a 40mph limit. Precariously, I drove slowly in case another car came the opposing direction. As I approached a bend in the road it was only until last minute did I realise the large pothole. As i realised there was no way in slowing down in time, I attempted to swerve my brand new car to try and avoid the pothole, in doing so I nearly lost control of my vehicle, narrowly missing bushes on my right. I got out my car and realised the severe damage to my tyre, in which made me approximately 6 hours late to my vacation, as I had to manage to find a tyre shop suitable for replacing the whole tyre.
