Manhole cover in middle of junction with huge cavities around it

There is a manhole cover in the middle of the traffic lights at the junction of Ashley Road and Ashley Common Road / Lower Ashley Common Road. The area all around said manhole has deteriorated and it is becoming more dangerous as drivers try to avoid hitting it with their tyres
