Lots of litter

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 12:16, Wednesday 14 February 2018

Sent to Bromley Council 4 minutes later

The litter/debris problem along Oaklands Lane and up Saltbox Hill is really bad again. Are you due to do a big clean up soon? It really needs doing before the Spring growth starts. Thank you.

  • Would you please tell us when it will be cleared, not that you know about it. It really is a disgrace. Are you investigating where it is coming from? Is it blowing from somewhere? It can't all be dropped out of people's cars? We think this is something you should be doing so that we don't have to keep asking you to clear it.

  • Thank you for your update. The litter you see along Oaklands Lane is entirely dropped from passing vehicles. This road is scheduled for cleansing along with many other country lanes in the borough. There has been a delay to the cleansing schedule due to the introduction of new working practices designed to increase staff safety and improve efficiency whilst keeping traffic flowing. Thank you for your patience.
