Abandoned unroadworthy vehicle

This vehicle was abandoned in our street (just outside 26 Richmond Avenue) more than six months ago, and it is clearly unroadworthy as it has no gear box! We already contacted the council, and they contacted the police, but they were unwilling to do anything because it has tax.

Some time after the car was dumped there, a recovery vehicle appeared to be coming to take it away. However, they obviously had some issue because they left without it and never returned.

This is a very annoying issue here because we have limited parking space (particularly on football match days!).

  • The council said the car is taxed until June, and thus nothing can be done about it. They advised to contact them again near that time to see if the tax has been renewed.
