Street light has not worked for over 1 year - Happy Birthday

Sent to Kent County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1196737.

Street light GCX011 has not worked for over 1 year. It has been reported on this site. It has been updated on this site every month for 12 months. I have written to my local councillors. They responded 4/5 months ago and passed it on to CCC and Kent CC. And responded to say it is being looked at 3 months ago. They stated FixMyStreet.com has NO contact with either local authority. The light remains not working on a pedestrian walk way between a main road and a hospital. WHY???????????????????

  • Still not working 1 year and 1 month. Contacted KCC who finally acknowledged they were notified in Feb2017.Stated that vegetation from a garden prevents Highways accessing Street light so the wrote to 3 Grange Road and they have 28 days to respond. BUT garden which backs on to pedestrian ally way in Grange Road is 3 King Edward Avenue but they still claim they have 28 days to respond. However the trees causing the obstruction are not in that garden they belong to Highways and should be maintained by them. Have KCC run out of money so are delaying repair until new financial year in April 2018? So Happy birthday 16 months to change a light bulb.

  • 13 months on still not fixed. Kent County Council on target to raise a April Fool Joke............... How long does it take to change a light bulb. 1000's have died since it was reported.

  • Apparently Fix My Street.com has no contact with KCC or CCC so this route to fix does not work.
