Missing Litter Bins

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 15:33, Saturday 20 January 2018

Sent to Bracknell Forest Council 2 minutes later

When street lights were replaced some months ago all litter bins were removed as part of that project. None have been replaced. Litter is a constant issue made worse by having no facilities to dispose of rubbish whilst out walking. It is not fair on local residents who now have their gardens littered. The bins should have been replaced after the new lights were commissioned.

Updates

  • Update from BFBC: I have spoken with a street lighting engineer who has mentioned that the design of the new street light column will unfortunately not be able to take a post bin , this is why the bins were removed and not replaced.

With this in mind we will be monitoring the areas involved and will ask our contractor to advise us of any issues which occur.

  • I've said the problem is fixed because the council have responded effectively saying they won't be doing anything about the issues following a policy change. I'm not really satisfied but it is what it is! Experience of using the app was very positive.

    State changed to: Fixed
